About the Artist
Hi there! I’m Ayelén, an aspiring children’s book illustrator. My passion for art and creativity comes from my love for nature and the beauty of God’s creation, and I am eager to work with authors who want to bring joy and inspiration to children by sharing the wonders of nature. I am currently working freelance while seeking agent representation.
My Story
Ever since I was little, I have found so much joy and inspiration through being outside with nature. Several years ago, I studied at South Puget Sound Community College, where I took several drawing and painting classes that opened up a beautiful new world to me. Through my artistic practices, I found an outlet to express myself and, at the same time, I could experience a more personal connection to God by inheriting His creativity.

During my time at Seattle Pacific University, I have come to recognize my interest in storytelling and narrative. I have always loved reading, and I would love to have the opportunity to create book illustrations that can inspire children to love artwork as I do.

As I prepare for a career in illustration, I am eager to create work that tells a story and engages the viewer, but also reveals the essence of God, who is the center of my life and source of my artistic creativity.
